brother2brother and alumni will be performing to help out a friend in need.  Go to www.dannywest.org for more info.  Members of b2b from the past, will perform at 2pm.  The "new" b2b with our current line up, will perform at 4pm.  There will be many other great bands and as always, it is for a good cause.  Who knows, you might need a benefit one day!!

The Houston Blues Society presents the International Blues Challenge second preliminary event.  The first one will be on September 12th at the Continental Club.  Two bands will be selected by a panel of judges, from each prelim and advance to the finals on October 19th at Dan Electro's.  The winner of the Houston finals will then head to Memphis in January 2011, to represent Houston in the worlds largest blues competition!

Always a favorite for family and friends, the Central Market Experience is one of a kind.  Kick back on the patio, enjoy a cold beverage, grilled burgers, or something tasty from the deli, people watch, listen to some great music and do your grocery shopping when you're done!  The weather should be incredible in September!

Once again, we will be hosting the ongoing, long-running Houston Blues Society Jam.  We will take the stage at 9pm, for the first set, followed by a list of talented, local and upcoming musicians, keeping their musical skills honed.  And you can become a member of the Houston Blues Society if you aren't a member already!!
