EVISU was founded by Hidehiko Yamane in Osaka Japan in 1991 and named after the Japanese God of prosperity Ebisu. Initially, the brand specialised in high-quality denim jeans manufactured with extreme care and attention to detail. The kanome seagull emblem was originally handpainted onto each pair of jeans by Yamane himself allowing for just 14 pairs of jeans to be produced per day. The phenomenal success of the Evisu brand is clear and has led to collaborations with Aston Martin, Puma, and Palace to name a few.
